Fur-ocious

The fur trend is bigger than ever this season. Whether real, vintage or faux, fur has been shown at the fall runway shows of Alexander Wang, Derek Lam, Diane von Furstenberg, Tory Burch and more.

Here at Qi we're cozying up with sumptuous cashmere and luxe fur. In our fall 2011 collection, we combined oversized sweaters, ribbed patchwork cardigans and cable knit turtlenecks with fur accessories to create a chic look that conjures up the image of Greta Garbo lounging in her dressing room while wearing a fox fur scarf and a tweed jacket.

Trend Watch: Lemon

As the saying goes, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade"--or you could make like these celebrities and simply wear citrus colors!

[PC: Getty Images Europe, Pacific Coast News, Wire Image, Getty Images, Splash News Online]

This summer yellow hues have become more popular than ever. Celebrities like Olivia Palermo, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and Eva Mendes have all adopted this cheerful trend. The lemon hue of Kerry Washington's floor-length dress from Michael Kors' Resort 2012 collection helped to put her on the fashion radar at the BET Awards!

The electric color is sure to turn heads but you can always opt for a more mellow yellow with Qi's casual looks.

Qi's Star In The Dust Sweater features the very popular oversized fit with an off-the-shoulder neckline. This handknit style is casual, comfortable and airy due to the 100% cotton material--making it the perfect summer sweater to add a pop of color into your wardrobe.

Our Sarah Racerback Tank is made from our lightweight, soft pima cotton and features a cowl neckline and a flattering asymmetrical hem. The Sarah Racerback Tank retails for $128 and is versatile enough to wear with heels and jeans for a night out on the town or over a bathing suit while lounging poolside.

Trend Watch: On With Ombré

The beauty world was uprooted when stars like Drew Barrymore, Rachel Bilson and Sarah Jessica Parker were snapped dodging convention and showing off their roots. This decision to show their true colors ignited the popular ombré trend.

Ombré, or a gradation of color from dark to light, has taken the beauty industry by storm. Now, the trend that started with some starlets' crowning glories, has branched off and taken root in the fashion world.

This season the ombré effect was seen at the shows of Hervé Léger and Rick Owens in the forms of varying color spectrums and dip-dyed fabrics.

Qi has used its innovative yarn techniques to create a gradient ombré design of its own. Using Tercel space-dye yarn, Qi has blended tan, browns and creams together to create a beautiful, unique pattern for our Trek On T and Tropical Tank.

Trend Watch: Soft Summer Pleats

Pleats revealed their soft side on the runway this spring. From Miu Miu to Chloé, soft pleats cascaded down the runway in beautiful, lightweight fabrics. These summery pieces are breezy enough to beat the summer heat without sacrificing an ounce of style.

Inspired by the lightness and beauty of this trend, Qi created the Soft Murmur Dress, which features soft pleats and a flowy skirt that is as airy as a summer's breeze. The blue floral print and sweetheart neckline gives this dress a girlishness that is as coy as it is cool.

Qi's Soft Murmur Dress retails for $220 and is available now at QiCashmereShop.com!

As fun as the animal print trend is, it is easy to overdo. We think that, in this case, a little goes a long way.

You can walk on the wild side with our giraffe print, silk Savanna Shirt without looking like Jane of the Jungle. The 100% silk tunic is trendy and fun without being over the top.

Gisele Bundchen posed for Vogue Paris' April issue. The supermodel was chosen for Emmanuelle Alt's first turn as editor-in-chief of the magazine, and she does not disappoint!

The shoot, which was photographed by Inez & Vinoodh, has a laid-back, earthy feel that is sure to be a hit this season.

The eco-style is inspired by natural elements and gives off a free and easy vibe. Qi's Trek On T and Tropical Tank feature earth tone cottons and space dye yarns. The result is a polychromatic mix of browns, blacks, and tans.

Similar to the styling in Vogue Paris, this season, Qi stuck to natural colors and layering neutrals together.

Military Madness

A-TEN-HUT! The military trend is demanding everyone's attention this season. Designers have shown military-inspired garments down the runways for the last few seasons. But this fall, the classic military styles are tough and edgy, while the silhouettes and ornamental details--such as big buttons and epaulets--give off an air of femininity.

Take a look at these functional and understated pieces that were shown for Fall 2010:

Trend Watch: Capes

While the mention of capes may conjure up images of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, they are sure to be very popular this autumn. High-end designers such as Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, Alexander McQueen, Phillip Lim, Peter Som and Salvatore Ferragamo all ditched the jacket and showed capes in their Fall/Winter 2010 shows. Capes are sure to spice up your wardrobe because of the various different styles available.

For instance, a cloak, or a longer cape, like the one worn by Vogue Nippon's editor-in-chief, Anna Dello Russo, adds an air of elegance to her classic look.

The cape can also toughen up a look and give off a rocker chic vibe. See how this Parisian combines two of the season's biggest trends, the cape and structured shoulders, to give her outfit a Gothic edge.

Another really wearable option is the sweater cape. Great when paired with skinny jeans and boots, the sweater cape creates a more casual look, making you appear effortlessly put together. This fall, wrap yourself up in Qi’s Ladyhawk Cape! With its toggle closure and chunky knit, the Ladyhawk Cape is the perfect addition to your wardrobe.

Mohawk Madness

Now that The Hills is officially over, Brody Jenner has shaved his head into a Mohawk. Perhaps he’s been influenced by his punk rock girlfriend, Avril Lavigne, or maybe he’s simply caught on to the fact that the Mohawk is in right now. Seen on celebrities from Rihanna to Gwen Stefani’s son, Kingston, it seems like we will be seeing a lot more of the Mohawk.

Qi added a little edge to on our Lookbook shoot and rocked a faux-hawk. We think it came out great…what do you think?

Flights of Fancy

Qi is loving the feather trend for fall. Our holiday collection features some great pieces adorned with iridescent feathers for when you want to make a statement.
