Sparkle & Shine at the Golden Globes

From floor-length gowns to gilded corsets, sequins caused stars to sparkle and shine on the red carpet at this year's Golden Globes. Celebrities, like Anne Hathaway and Vanessa Williams, donned dresses covered in one of this season's hottest trend--sequins! Hathaway made the best-dressed list in her Giorgio Armani Privé gown and nude patent pumps by Brian Atwood.

Others, like Glee's Amber Riley and Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson, opted for one-shouldered sequined gowns.

Steal these stars' red carpet style by incorporating sequins into your wardrobe. When paired with casual fabrics, like wool and denim, sequins can be worn during the daytime. Try the Alia Tunic for a dress that can be worn day to night.

Michelle Obama has captured the world's attention with her practical sense of style. Today the First Lady celebrated her 47th birthday by honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with her volunteer work at Stuart Hobson Middle School in Washington, D.C. She wore sensible black pants, a comfy slate t-shirt, and a cozy cable cardigan. Here at Qi, we loved Michelle's look and decided to create one of our own.
