Vampire Diaries and Entourage Stylists Shop Qi!

Hi everyone!

Our marketing manager, Kosi, had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer Bryan, the head of the costume department of the hit television show, The Vampire Diaries! You may remember that Qi has worked with Jennifer before and has been featured on The Vampire Diaries in the past.

Jennifer let us know that our Solitaire Scarf will be appearing on the upcoming ad campaign, so make sure to keep an eye out for it:


Kosi also met with Olivia Miles from Entourage's wardrobe department. She was scoping out clothes for freelance projects, as well as Entourage. Qi seems to be a favorite of Emmanuelle Chriqui, who plays Sloan.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

The best-selling, award-winning novel, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, is making its way to the big screen in 2011. The book, written by Swedish author and journalist, Stieg Larsson, has been adapted into a film already in Switzerland, but David Fincher's Hollywood adaptation is set to come out in December 2011.

The much-anticipated film caused a stir as eager actors and actresses competed for the highly coveted roles of journalist, Mikael Blomkvist and researcher, Lisbeth Salander. It was rumored that George Clooney, Johnny Depp, and Brad Pitt all expressed interest in the role of Blomkvist, but in the end, Daniel Craig got the lead. Ellen Page, Sarah Snook, and Katie Jarvis were contending for the role of Lisbeth, but it was officially confirmed that Rooney Mara would be playing Lisbeth Salander in August.

Qi is so excited for the movie to be released and even more excited that the wardrobe department has requested two of our pieces from Fall 2010 for Rooney Mara's character.

Inside the "Vampire Diaries" Wardrobe

The hit series, Vampire Diaries, is on everyone's radar right now. The blood-sucking series is full of teen drama and romance, and now it's being recognized for the great on-set styling!

The woman responsible for the leather jackets and cozy scarves is costume designer, Jennifer Bryan. Bryan sat down with SeenOn for an interview and to talk about the type of clothes she looks for when styling for the show.

She usually picks “items that will throw light and color into the show, but still belong in the high school world,” she says. “[The clothes] are approachable and relatable to the audience.”

The wardrobe department is full of denim and leather from brands like True Religion, Hugo Boss and Cole Haan, but when Bryan reaches for well-cut basics she always grabs Qi!

“Qi Cashmere is one of my favorites!” she gushes.
